Guides by goal
On this page
The guides in this section start from a goal, such as following a stock or getting ready for a storm, and walk you through every part of 4Search that helps with it, in the order you would use them.

#How the guides work
- Each stage is short. It tells you what to do and what to look at, then links to the full article when you want the detail.
- You can start anywhere. Skip a stage you already know; the others still make sense.
- Some guides use services your site may not have. Finance, Politics, Predictions, Weather, Maps and Shopping run on some sites of the 4 Network and not others. If a tab is missing, see Which sites have which services.
- Nothing needs an account. Where a guide saves something, such as a watchlist or a home place, it is kept in your browser with your consent to Saved preferences.
If you are new to 4Search, read A five-minute tour first.
#Common questions
Which guide should I read first?
The one closest to what you came to do. If you only want to search better, start with Search like a pro; if you want the site to remember you, start with Make 4Search yours.
Are the guides the same on every 4Search site?
Yes. Every site shows the same Help Center. A guide that relies on a service your site does not have says so and points to a site that has it.
